My spiret child by George Roscoe

My spirit child

His hair like a golden fleas in a blast of light!

Rings of blue water, red blood and black darkness!

Ears with pearls of the universe!

A terrifying mouth made of deep sea water!

Horns like an elegant antelope!

Colours of the rainbow scatted everywhere!

Eyes like the beaming hot sun with the purple sunset for eyes!

once you’ve experienced him your life will never be the same!

Microscopic orange markings show all over him!

you wouldn’t like to meet this spirit!

My spirit child by Owen Simmons

Her eyes glisten like the moon in a silent  night!

Where her monkey like mouth scrieches out her fear!

From the scars pertrued from the time when slavery grew dark in the night!

Her thoughts burrow deep through fear!

Face as smooth as marble!

Speech as soothing as a gentle wind!

As strong as an Ox at the time of battle!

Her beady eyes like a waterfall in a bright summer day!

She will be there at your times of sorrow!

At the time of battle my spirit will come out to play for you will not like see her when she is mad!

Who is my spirit child?

My Spirit Child By Dylan Staves

You would only get a short glimpse of his fearless face, as he travels as fast as the wind weeving in and out through life and death!

As the dark colours creep ever so slowly through all the misery and sorrow, bright colours are attacking him like a lion as every new spirit is born!

He feeds on cold blood from the living things that have’nt been good!

His rigid nose has a snake like shape runnig down like a tear of happiness landing in a pool of mournful disaster!

His damaged face like a lion after a battle is blessed with golden feathers from the eagle who has flown the scary sky’s of death many times before!

Spots of death forced upon his scarred, tourn apart face to represant a good descision.

He appears when a life is taken and when a new baby awakens!

Who is my spirit child?

I have a dream…what is yours?

Have a Dream par Martin ... Year 5 have been researching the topic of Freedom. They have been thinking about people around the world how very different Freedom is to us all. It got us thinking… What do we want for the next generation? What in the world would we like to change? What would we like to change in our own lives? How could we make the world a better place to live in? These questions helped us to realise our dreams for the future! What is your dream?

I have a dream that people will be treated equally. Not because of their looks. No one to be starving either poor, unnoticed, nor any crooks.

Everybody to be friends and be kind.Nobody has wars,Everybody has the same amount of luck,You see what money can cause!

Global warming history,Tomorrow a brand new day,Everybody delighted,In every single way!

 BY  ANNA SEIFU 5SK

I dream that all the wars would end forever

That all of the world could be at peace

That children in poorer countries have food and water

That children all over the world have a right to learn

That racism could have an end

That I could be a singer and raise money for charity

 By Demetria 5SK

I dream that divorces become marriage

 War becomes love

 World wide peace

Everyone respects me for who I am

No one has to die

By Teigan Jenkins 5SK

I dream that there will be world peace.

That people can do what they want for a living.

That they were no more guns or wars.

That the world will unite.

By Subhan Raza

I have a dream that everyone will have the same

rights.

I have a dream that peace will come to earth.

I have a dream that everyone will be respected.

I have a dream that there will be no hate.

Set Maths

During this term in set maths i have learnt a lot and have found a few things that I found quite confusing but got the hang of it in the end.We did the mean , median and the mode. They are quite strange words but there basically different types of averages. We also did translations (Not the language translation)they’re a bit like Coordinates. To help us with translations we played a game and from the that i understood translations. And finally adding fractions, without Mr woods method i couldnt have been able to add fractions with different denominaters .And now i   like fractions and find them easy to workout. If your good at fractions try and work out the sum below

Year 5,don’t forget to use your lyric sheets which you took home to learn this song! Think about the meaning behind the words and the ultimate message ‘ Don’t let your lives go to waste’. Pass the message on to family and friends…maybe you could get them to join in too!

This is another song which we are learning in relation to our topic of ‘Freedom’.

Happy Singing!!!! Enjoy!

Labbi Siffre: Something Inside So Strong

Year 5 are learning different songs and analysing song lyrics and content as part of their topc work on ‘What is Freedom?’

Please share this song with parents/carers/family and friends, thinking about the song meaning in the context of Freedom.

We look forward to listening to your points of view and discussions and can’t wait until Year 5 perform this one! You are indeed a very musical Year group! Enjoy!

space

In year five we are learning about space.

star is a massive, luminous ball of plasma that is held together by gravity. The nearest star to earth is the sun, which is the source of most of the energy on Earth. Other stars are visible in the night sky, when they are not outshone by the Sun.

Does the moon effect earth?

  • creatures use the moon to tell when they can have babies and navigate
  • many small creatues would die
  • no rain in rainforests
  • dissaperans of sea and tides
  • birds and mamalls would die
